5 Nov 2020A two per cent share of Cambridge Stud shuttle stallion Almanzor (Fr) has been sold for €310,000 (NZ$542,000) in an Arqana online sale.
Almanzor is completing his third season at Cambridge Stud, with his first progeny set to go through the Australasian yearling sales in 2021.
The share in the son of Wootton Bassett was sold as Lot 6 and was purchased by English based Elwick Stud.
Almanzor's oldest Northern Hemisphere foals are yearlings and he sits second by average for first season sires, with 53 yearlings sold for an average of US$119,463 ($176,421).
