A half-brother to Cambridge Stud stallion Almanzor has made an impressive start to his racing career in France.

Sent out favourite on debut at Chantilly, the Freddy Head-trained Another Sky made all the running and easily justified his support.

The chestnut son of Le Havre was eased down at the end of his 1900 metre event to score by four and a-half lengths.

“From day one, ever since he walked into the yard, he has impressed me with everything he has done,” Head said.

“He’s a lovely horse who had a little setback last year and couldn’t run, but maybe that was a blessing in disguise.

“He has size, a lovely temperament and a beautiful action and everything you ask for from a good horse.

“I was expecting a good performance and he was very impressive there.

“He’s in all the major races and I wanted to run him early to have more time to decide what to do next.”

His half-brother Almanzor is a multiple Group One winning son of Wootton Bassett.

Almanzor bred 300 mares in his first two seasons at Cambridge Stud and will be in service again later this year.
