Two-year-old Frankel filly Natasha ensured Cambridge Stud’s shuttle stallions were each credited with winning family doubles this week.

Natasha is a half-sister to multiple Group 1 winner Almanzor and she was successful overnight at the second time of asking over 1600 metres at Kempton.

Her five length victory came hard on the heels of the runaway debut victory at Carlisle of Hala Hala Athmani, a half-sister by Dabirsim to Hello Youmzain, twice a winner at the highest level.

Almanzor and Natasha, who is trained by John and Thady Gosden for prominent owner George Strawbridge, are out of the unraced Maria’s Mon mare Darkova, also the dam of winners and stakes performers Troarn and Another Sky.

They hail from the family of the three-time Group 1 winner Darjina and the Group 3 winners Darbuzan and Guildsman.
