Intuitu showcased his staying ability when he produced a quality performance to win over 2400 metres at Eagle Farm.

The French-bred son of our shuttle stallion Almanzor was making his third appearance since joining Annabel Neasham’s stable and was capably handled by rider Damien Thornton.

The four-year-old entire settled second last on the fence and, when clear in the straight, finished powerfully along the rail to win going away by 1.3l.

We raced Intuitu with our northern partners Haras d’Etreham in France and retained an ownership interest when he was secured by OTI Racing to continue his career in Australia.

He posted his maiden victory over 2000 metres and placed five times from the leading yard of Jean-Claude Rouget’s before relocating to Neasham’s operation, which has stables at Warwick Farm and Eagle Farm.

Intuitu was initially purchased with Haras d’Etreham for $160,000 at the Arqana Deauville Select Yearling Sale and is a son of the Dubawi mare Irrecevable, who is out of the two-time North American Group 1 winner Janet.
