Power filly La Force has credited her Cambridge Stud sire with a Group Two placing at Santa Anita.
In a thrilling three-horse photo finish, La Force finished second in the $US200,000 La Canada Stakes over a mile behind Mopotism, forging up the rail but unable to haul in the winner.
The German-bred La Force is latest stakes performer for Oasis Dream sire Power, who has enjoyed success as a sire in New Zealand through the likes of Gr.2 Wakefield Challenge Stakes winner Gift Of Power and stakes-placed Nuclear Fusion, Satin Belt, Divine Power and Ohceedee.
His progeny are creating plenty of interest ahead of the upcoming New Zealand Bloodstock Yearling Sales at Karaka, where he will represented by 10 lots in Book 1, eight of those in Cambridge Stud's draft.
