Bargain Hunter Scores At Riccarton

Bargain Hunter (Keeper x Dawn Run) carried the day in fine style today at Riccarton winning the Farringtons Tavern Rating 1600, the final event on the card.


Bargain Hunter was ridden by Opie Bosson and paid $3.80 to win.


Princess Cavalier finished second while Gasnier finished third.


Three-year-old Bargain Hunter, the winner of two races, is one of  62 individual winners sired by Cambridge Stud sire Keeper who is currently the leading sire of three-year-olds in New Zealand.


Keeper has sired two Group 1 winners during the 2007/08 season - New Zealand Bloodstock 1000 Guineas winner Insouciant and Levin Classic winner Keepa Cruisin.
