The Zabeel three-year-old gelding, Berlioz (NZ), has finished a close second in the Group 1 Western Australian Derby in Perth on Saturday.
Berlioz finished just a head in arrears of the winner, fellow NZ-bred galloper Markus Maximus.
Berlioz has not finished further back than third in six race-day starts to date.
His stake-earnings have now reached a total of A$120,775.
