Big Weekend For Keeper

8 Nov 2008

Cambridge Stud sire
Keeper had another notable day of success on the racetrack producing two winners at Saturday's Te Rapa race meeting as well as a victor in Hong Kong on the same day.

The first of the Te Rapa "double" for Keeper came when the Andrew Scott-trained
Keepolaria took out the Newstalk ZB 1400.

Keepolaria is a four-year-old mare by Keeper from Calceolaria and was ridden in Saturday's race win by Chad Ormsby.

The other successful progeny of Keeper at Te Rapa on Saturday was
Keeperinthemyst who won the Radio Hauraki 1600.

Keeperinthemyst is by Keeper from Mystic Flight and is trained at Te Awamutu by the Autridge-Hawtin combination.

In Hong Kong on Saturday night the winner for Keeper was the well-performed
Bouncer (ex Startling Lady) who scored a win in a class 3 1400m event.

Bred by Karreman Bloodstock, Bouncer is the fifth winning foal from as many to race for her dam, Startling Lady.

Keeper, a Group 1 winning son of Danehill, has already sired 14 individual winners this season in New Zealand alone.

Keeper has sired 86 individual winners worldwide in his stud career to date. These include 7 individual stakes winners.
