Keepa Cheval the dam of Saturday’s Gr.3 Sunshine Coast Guineas winner is booked to Almanzor this season.
Bred by David Archer, Bostonian has now won 6 starts for trainer Tony Pike, with other black-type wins including the Listed Hawke’s Bay El Roca Sprint and the Listed Daybreak Lover Plate in Queensland.
Keepa Cheval is a half-sister to Archer’s mighty galloper Mufhasa, who was distinguished as the Horse of the Year in NZ in 2008/09 and with no less than 10 Gr.1 wins across Australasia.
Keepa Cheval is currently in foal to Iffraaj, the proven Gr.1 grandsire of Almanzor.
