A charity auction for a service to Burgundy has raised $7500 to help a New Zealand trainer fly to Canada so he can donate his kidney to his son.

Cambridge Stud and gavelhouse.com joined forces with the Central Districts Trainers’ Association to support Awapuni trainer Stephen Gillies.

Stephen’s youngest son is based in Canada and is too sick to travel, so Stephen is flying over to donate one of his kidneys.

Cambridge Stud kindly donated a service to promising sire Burgundy, auctioned on gavelhouse.com through a commission-free listing. All proceeds of this charity auction will go towards assisting Stephen get to Canada.
