Cambridge Stud graduate Mr Clint confirmed his place in next Saturday’s Singapore Guineas with a stirring win at Kranji last night.

The Lee Freedman-trained Power gelding was near last in the running but dug deep when asked for the effort by rider Daniel Moor, reeling in the field to score by ¾’s of a length in the Class 3 event over 1400m.

“That is exactly what I wanted to see tonight,” Freedman reported to the Singapore Turf Club afterwards.

“That will top him up nicely for the Guineas.”

Raced by Oscar Racing Stable’s Laurie Laxon and his friend Phua Chian Kin, Mr Clint has now won two of seven starts and has earned the distinction of being stakes placed following his runner-up effort in the Listed Singapore Sprint three starts back.

Cambridge Stud sold Mr Clint to Stuart Hale at the 2016 Select Yearling Sale for $52,500. Through the draft of Riversley Park, he later returned to Karaka for the 2016 Ready to Run Sale of 2YO’s, selling on this occasion to Laxon for $95,000.

The talented Sir Patrick and Justine Lady Hogan bred gelding hails from the Gr.1 family of Foxwood, Sovereign Red, Gurner’s Lane and Trichelle.

Mr Clint’s dam Victoria’s Belle has now had the two winners from three to race and will look to extend this record with the Tavistock foal she currently carries.
