It is shaping as being another huge week for New Zealand's Leading Second Season Sire Tavistock, with no fewer than four Derby runners. It will come off the back of a week which saw the young stallion sire two new winners, Rising Stock in Australia and Francis Drake on the local front.
Rising Stock (Tavistock ex Wahaha, by Stravinsky) won a Maiden at Warrnambool for trainer Mike Moroney while Francis Drake (Tavistock ex Biosphere, by Encosta de Lago) won at Te Rapa from the Graeme & Debbie Rogerson stable.
Tavistock is currently the sire of 17 individual winners, eight of which are Stakes Performers.
