Caminata’s consistency was deservedly rewarded when the Darci Brahma mare successfully resumed at Tauranga.

The four-year-old daughter of Darci Brahma hadn’t finished further back than fourth in her seven previous outings for trainer Tony Pike and kicked off her current preparation over 1200 metres today in fine style.

Caminata is a sister to the Listed Tauranga Classic winner Summer’s Day and we bought her out of Woburn Farm’s New Zealand Bloodstock Yearling Sale draft for $80,000.

She is out of the Fusaichi Pegasus mare One Perfect Day and she is a daughter of the G1 Railway Handicap and dual Group 2 winner Cannsea. The second dam Beachside was also twice successful at Group 2 level.
