Cape Blanco steals show

26 Aug 2012

Around 200 attended the Cambridge Stud opening leg of the JLT Bloodstock Insurance and Waikato Breeders’ Stallion Tour on Saturday.

There is no doubt that many were there to take advantage of the opportunity to inspect big-name racehorse Cape Blanco.

The chestnut lived right up to expectations, parading in style and drawing favourable comments about his great presence and temperament.

Cape Blanco (Galileo ex Laurel Delight, by Presidium) only arrived at Cambridge Stud at 5.30am last Thursday, but has clearly quickly settled into his surroundings alongside Zabeel, Stravinsky, Keeper, Lucky Unicorn and Tavistock.

Cape Blanco comes to Cambridge Stud with a record of five Group One victories, two in Ireland and three in America.  He was voted America’s Champion Turf Horse of 2011.
