Here To Shock emphasised both his talent and versatility with 2.8 length victory in the Echuca Cup over 1400 metres.

The Cambridge Stud graduate has posted multiple wins on top of the ground and coped admirably with a heavy surface for the sixth success of his 18-start career.

The Ben and JD Hayes-trained Here To Shock was away well to sit outside the leader before taking control 300 metres from and stayed on strongly for rider Blaike McDougall.

“He’s in career best form and he began really well and found a nice position,” McDougall said.

“He was travelling that well it was just a case of not getting to the front too soon.”

Bred by The Sunlight Trust, we sold Here To Shock in our 2019 New Zealand Bloodstock Yearling Sale draft for $70,000 to Slade Bloodstock.

By Shocking, he is out of the Lonhro mare Frescoes who is a three-quarter sister to the G1 Patinack Classic winner Mental.

Under the third dam Shaybisc, successful in the G1 AJC Sires’ Produce Stakes, is the two-time Group 1 winner Freemason.
