Impressive sale ring results continued for Almanzor during the second session of Arqana's Deauville Select Sale in France.

On the first day, a son of the Cambridge Stud shuttle stallion sold for €280,000 (NZ$495,000) and the demand continued overnight.

A filly offered by Haras d'Etreham led the way when selling to Broadhurst Agency for €280,000 (NZ$495,000).

The daughter of Listed winner Sefroua is also a half-sister to the stakes winners Suphala and Sivoliere.

Agent Oliver St Lawrence was also in the thick of the action with two high-priced purchases.

He went to €260,000 (NZ$462,000) for a son of Almanzor and €250,000 (NZ$444,000) for a daughter.

The colt is out of the G2 Canadian Stakes winner Minakshi and the family of the G1 VRC Oaks winner Arapaho Miss.

The Almanzor filly is a daughter of the stakes winner and Group 3 performer Penny Lane.

The five yearlings by Almanzor that sold on day two of the sale averaged €208,400 (NZ$370,543).

His sire Wootton Bassett was also in the thick of the action with a colt selling for €300,000 (NZ$533,000).

Bought by Jamie McCalmont, he is from the family of the six-time Group 1 winner Stacelita.
