Tavistock was at the double at Otaki this afternoon with further success for a pair of the Cambridge Stud stallion’s progressive sons.
First up it was the lightly-tried Times Ticking (pictured), who was successful for the second time in his four-start career.
He was bred by trainer Alby MacGregor and Vicky Lachner, with the pair racing the gelding.
Times Ticking is out of the Pins mare Laoghaire, who hails from a strong international family.
It includes the dual Gr.1 Hong Kong Champions’ Mile winner Xtension and the two-time Group One winning sprinter Harry Angel.
Following Times Ticking’s winning lead a race later was Tavis Court, who now has the tidy record of three wins and six placings from 10 starts.
The four-year-old is prepared by Anna Clement and is raced by breeders the G & A Hill Trust.
Tavis Court is the first foal to race for the unraced Keeper mare Keep Her Free.
She is out of a half-sister to the Gr.1 Queensland Derby winner Court Ruler.
The pedigree also features the Gr.1 Makfi Challenge Stakes winner I Do and her stakes-winning half-brother Iggi Pop.
