Dundeel colt leads the way

Dundeel colt leads the way7 Mar 2023

We completed a 100 percent clearance rate at the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale in Melbourne where we sold six youngsters at Oaklands with our top lot the son of Dundeel who made A$240,000 during Day 1.

Our good-looking son of Dundeel had been a popular colt in the lead-up to the opening day of the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale and that interest followed through when he graced the Oaklands ring.

Presented as Lot 51, the youngster was the subject of keen competition before leading trainer Mick Price and Victorian operation Breeding Ltd had the final say at A$240,000.

He is out of the Manhattan Rain mare Promise To Reign, who was a talented performer and a multiple Group placegetter.

Our Justify colt, Lot 255, also attracted widespread interest before he was purchased for A$200,000 by Bon Ho’s Legend Racing.

The colt is out of the well-performed Redoute’s Choice mare Abidewithme, who won nine races including the Travis Stakes and Tauranga Stakes at Group 2 level and was a multiple Group 1 placegetter.

We were also glad to see the remainder of our youngsters heading to a range of stables in Australia. They will be trained by Ciaron Maher, Dan Bowman and Brett Baker.
