Embellish making early impact

Embellish making early impact1 Jan 2023

Embellish sired his second stakes performer from just a handful of representatives when Talisker powered home to finish runner-up at Te Rapa on New Year’s Day.

Our young resident sire has made a grand start to his career with our own Luberon providing him with his first winner and the Lance Noble-trained filly also finished third in the Listed Challenge Stakes.

Embellish, a Group 1-winning son of Savabeel, added to his black-type roll of honour from just six race day runners when Talisker wound up strongly to take second money behind unbeaten stablemate Trobriand in the G2 Eclipse Stakes.

Trained by Mark Walker, Talisker had finished third on debut on the course in November behind Tokyo Tycoon and he will now take on the also undefeated Satono Aladdin juvenile and Trobriand in the Listed Karaka Million 2YO.

We will be offering two colts by Embellish, Lots 152 and 561, during the Book 1 session of New Zealand Bloodstock’s National Yearling Sale.

The first through the ring is a brother to Luberon with their dam the Fastnet Rock mare Elegant Achiever and the second is out of Stylish Achiever, also by Fastnet Rock with next two dams Flying Object and Will Fly both Group 3 winners.

Landsdowne Park will also offer a brother to Talisker as Lot 781 in the Book 2 session of the sale.
