Katie Lee, who won both the 1000 Guineas-Gr.1 and 2000 Guineas-Gr.1 during her outstanding three-year-old season, has produced a Fastnet Rock filly at Cambridge Stud this week.
A nine-year-old daughter of Pins and Miss Jessie Jay (Spectacularphantom), Katie Lee won 8 races in all, more than $1m in prize money and was named Champion 3YO of the 2009/2010 Racing Season.
Her first foal, a colt by Fastnet Rock, topped the 2014 Karaka Premier Sale at $800,000. Now named Fastdane Rocky, the colt is a 3YO and is yet to race.
Katie Lee's second foal is a now 2YO filly by Commands and wasn't offered at Karaka this year. Katie Lee did not get in foal during the 2013 Season and was mated with Fastnet Rock last year.
She foaled the filly at the home farm and a decision about her 2015 mating is yet to be made.
