This filly is from the immediate family of Sepoy, Australia’s Champion 2YO of 2011, winning both the ATC Golden Slipper Stakes-Gr.1 and the MRC Blue Diamond Stakes-Gr.1. Since then Sepoy has added both the MVRC Manikato Stakes-Gr.1 and VRC Coolmore Stakes-Gr.1 as a 3YO. Sepoy’s record reads 11 starts for 10 wins and 1 second for prize money of A$3,870,000. His sole defeat was in the ATC Todman Stakes-Gr.2 when he was beaten by Smart Missile.
This filly’s dam is a half-sister to Canny Lad, himself a Golden Slipper winner before going on to be a successful sire. Jesmonds Gift is also a half-sister to Canny Lass, a multiple Group One winner and dam of two black type winners.
