Filly doubles winning tally6 Feb 2023

Talented filly Grace ‘N’ Grey has enjoyed a successful road trip to Tauherenikau to post her second win from just six appearances.

The daughter of Spirit Of Boom was back in the winning groove for trainer Mark Walker and rider Opie Bosson over 1000 metres.

Grace ‘N’ Grey was caught wide early from an awkward gate before she slotted in one off in fourth spot and she finished determinedly in the run home.

We bred Grace ‘n’ Grey with David Redvers Bloodstock and she was purchased by Te Akau’s David Ellis for $240,000 at New Zealand Bloodstock’s National Yearling Sale.

She is the first foal of the winning Redoute’s Choice mare Gracious Grey, a half-sister to the G2 Emancipation Stakes winner Positive Peace.

Gracious Grey has since produced an unraced Written Tycoon filly named Kind Words, who was sold at the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale for A$280,000, she has a yearling Pierro colt who passed in at Karaka this year and is currently has a filly by Almanzor at foot.
