Champion Stallion Zabeel covered 89 mares during the 2011 Season and the first result of those matings arrived at Cambridge Stud last Saturday.
The attractive colt is from the young Stratum mare Maldivius, herself a daughter of the Group One-winning Volksraad mare Dantelah.
Zabeel is gearing up for his 22nd successive season at stud, having commenced his illustrious stud career in 1991.
Recently crowned Champion Broodmare Sire of both Australia and New Zealand for the 2011/2012 Season and earning his 15th Dewar Stallion Trophy (combined Australian & NZ progeny earnings), Zabeel remains in terrific condition, despite having just turned 26.
