Saving Grace has made a strong start to her career and in France overnight she posted another black-type strike for Almanzor.

The filly finished runner-up in the Listed Prix Isonomy over 1600 metres at Deauville, a day after our shuttle stallion’s daughter Queen Trezy was second in the G3 Prix des Reservoirs over the same course and distance.

Saving Grace is trained by Fabrice Chappet and the filly now has a win and two second placings from her three appearances, ridden each time by Aurelien Lemaitre.

The two-year-old is out of the Sholokov mare Desiree Clary, a juvenile winner herself and a multiple Group placegetter who finished fourth in the G1 French Oaks. She also foaled a sister to Saving Grace last year.
