Further success for Almanzor

Further success for Almanzor17 Dec 2021

Almanzor was credited with another two-year-old victor overnight when Almanera was successful in Ireland.

Trained by Joseph O’Brien, the colt had placed at his previous appearance at Dundalk and returned there to score over 1400 metres and hand our exciting shuttle stallion his ninth first crop winner in the northern hemisphere.

Almanzor served another full book here in 2021 and has been represented by Northern Hemisphere black type performers Queen Trezy and Saving Grace.

The Stephen Marsh-trained Andalus also showed he was a colt of tremendous potential with a bold debut showing recently to finish third in the G2 Wakefield Challenge Stakes.

Almanzor’s latest winning success story Almanera is a son of the Danehill Dancer mare La Pedrera, whose three foals to race have all been successful, and she is a half-sister to the G1 Jean-Luc Lagardere winner Naaqoos.
