A Commands half-sister to the Group 2-winning Pussy Willow (O’Reilly) was born at Cambridge Stud last Saturday.
Pussy Willow, trained by Stephen McKee, earned a big reputation when winning the Wakefield Challenge Stakes last season at two and is expected to begin an ambitious Sydney campaign in Saturday’s A$175,000 Furious Stakes-Gr.2 (1400m) at Warwick Farm.
Octapussy, the dam of Pussy Willow and the new born filly at Cambridge Stud, is a mare by Octagonal from Dopff, by Tights. On the track she won 6 races and was placed second in the Doomben Cup-Gr.1 and AJC Emancipation Stakes-Gr.2.
Octapussy has had had three foals to race for a 100% winning record.
