Stravinsky two-year-old filly Hips Don't Lie cemented herself as a genuine Golden Slipper contender with her win in the Group 2 STC Reisling Stakes (1200m) at Canterbury, Sydney, on Saturday.

The David Hayes-trained juvenile enjoyed a perfect run due to a heedy ride by top jockey Craig Williams.

"We held the rail and she was very game and did everything right and deserves her place in the Slipper," Hayes said.

"She did a great job today. That was very impressive. She's such a tough type.

"And if she draws a barrier in the Slipper, she could be a cheeky chance.
