Dazzled lived up to her moniker when she produced a dashing display to mow down her Rating 65 rivals over 1200 metres at Pukekohe.

The four-year-old has barely put a foot wrong for us in her fledgling career and has taken her record to a brace of wins and three placings from six appearances.

A homebred daughter of Pierro, Dazzled settled back of midfield before picking up ground across the top and she cut loose in the straight for an impressive victory.

“We were pretty confident, but in saying that it was a strong Rating 65 and it’s going to be a good form race,” trainer Lance Noble said.

“She has taken a while to mature and she’s still not quite there yet. We’re a breeding farm so if we can find a bit of black type for her it would be great.”

Winning rider Warren Kennedy believes Dazzled is capable of ticking that box.

“She shows a lot of promise and she’ll get her chance at stakes level for sure,” he said.

“The race wasn’t really run to suit and they yanked the pace out and she got a bit fierce, but once she got to full stretch she really picked them up quickly, it was a fantastic win.”

A half-sister to the G2 Wakefield Challenge Stakes winner Gift Of Power, Dazzled is the last foal of the late Lucky Unicorn mare Capital Diamond, a member of the Eight Carat dynasty who won three races and finished third in the G1 New Zealand 1000 Guineas.
