Lucky Unicorn looks to have a smart 3YO filly in Capital Diamond (Lucky Unicorn ex Diamond Smile, by Zabeel), an easy maiden winner at the Marton meeting at Awapuni today.
The filly, having her first run at three years after a sole outing at two, set much of the pace and cruised away in the straight to win in style for Jonathan Riddell.
Bred by Sir Patrick and Justine, Lady Hogan, Capital Diamond is raced by them in partnership with the Capital Diamond Syndicate which is managed by Phill Cataldo.
Capital Diamond is prepared by Lisa Latta at Awapuni who has her nominated for both the 2000 Guineas (05 November) and 1000 Guineas (12 November).
