A premier Australasian family was to the fore at Port Macquarie where Tavijewel furthered his winning record.

Our home-bred son of Tavistock was triumphant over 1512 metres for trainer Bevan Laming and rider Tegan Harrison.

The three-year-old had been a debut winner at Warwick and was then in behind the major players when fourth at Ipswich before successfully stepping up in trip in his latest appearance.

We bred Tavijewel who was purchased out of our New Zealand Bloodstock National Yearling Sale draft by John White Bloodstock and Laming Racing for $110,000.

He is the first winner for the Stravinsky mare Jewels Gift who is out of a half-sister to the dual Group 1 winner and successful sire Canny Lad and his sister Canny Lass was a three-time top-flight winner.

Group 1 winners Bivouac, Sepoy, Camarina, Camarila and Guelph all feature on the pedigree page as do the Group Two winners and sire Encryption, Ghibbelines and Rothesay.
