Keeper back on top of Winners Premiership

7 Sep 2014

Cambridge Stud's proven Danehill horse Keeper has returned to the head of the New Zealand Stallion Premiership for individual winners, after a Saturday which saw him responsible for three winners in the day.

Keeper was the Champion Sire for individual winners last season and has already chalked up 11 individual winners in the first five weeks of the new racing season.

Last Saturday's winners for Keeper were...

* Nottoobad (Keeper ex Half Cut) - Rating 75, 1400m, Ellerslie

* Dragonkeeper (Keeper ex Pensar) - Rating 85, 1600m, Ellerslie

* Locket (Keeper ex Equity Rose) - Rating 75, 1600m, Riccarton Park

Not only does Keeper lead the NZ Premiership for Winners, he's also at the top of the list for Wins, with his stock having collectively won 12 races this season.

Not surprisingly, Keeper is well up on the General List for Earnings, being in second position, some $26,000 behind No Excuse Needed (sire of Gr.1 winner I Do).

The service fee for Keeper this season is $8,000 + gst (LFG) and like all the Cambridge Stud stallions this year, service fees are not due until 30 June 2015.
