Keeper ends season in front in three categories

Proven stallion Keeper has ended the 2013/2014 New Zealand Racing Season as the LEADING NZ SIRE FOR WINNERS, JOINT-LEADING NZ SIRE FOR WINS and LEADING NZ SIRE OF 3YO WINNERS.

Keeper's individual tally of Winners in New Zealand alone for the season just concluded numbers 60, that's 6 better than second placed O'Reilly; 10 clear of third placed Pins and 15 in front of fourth placed Darci Brahma.

The individual Wins category was shared three ways with Keeper's 83 Wins equalling the tally achieved by both O'Reilly and Pins.

It was tight in the Sire of 3YO Winners category as well, with Keeper (19) edging out O'Reilly (18).

It's interesting to compare the service fee difference between Keeper ($8,000 + gst) and O'Reilly ($60,000 + gst); the latter standing for seven-and-a-half times more.

The latest season's result betters Keeper's placing in 2012/2013 where he was the second-leading stallion for both Winners and Wins.

Keeper stands alongside Burgundy (year two), Cape Blanco (third year shuttler), Power (second year shuttler) and Tavistock (oldest turn three-year-old, 01 August).
