While the win of Keep the Peace in the Group One Mudgway Partsworld Stakes has been an early season highlight for the stock of Keeper, it should be noted that the stallion has already chalked up 13 individual winners in the first six weeks of the 2010-2011 term.
The horses concerned, in alphabetical order, are Keepit Rahtwo, Lotus, Pinnafero, Caley Marie, Keep the Recipe, Matost, Anita Pea, Betty Brown, Eyesonella, Happyto Keepa, Keep the Peace, Perky ‘N’ Ready and Sworn to Secrecy.
Keeper has also had two winners in Australia so far, Sea Hunter (ex Suddenly Sara, by Woodman) and Classic Collection (ex Ismailia, by Zabeel).
Classic Collection won his third race at Belmont Park in Perth yesterday. His dam, by Zabeel from Enhancer, is a sister to no less than four black type winners, namely Able Master (Auckland Cup-Gr.1), Exaggerate (multiple black type winner in Singapore), Accumulate (VRC St Leger-Gr.3) and Brother Mak (Listed winner & Gr.1-placed in WA).
