Keeper reclaims lead in NZ Stallion Premiership

20 Oct 2012

Keeper is currently New Zealand’s leading sire for Prize Money, Winners (22) and Wins (24).

Cambridge Stud’s proven sire-son of Danehill was second on the Premiership for prize money a week ago, but has reclaimed the lead following the respective wins of Conserves La Foi (Waimate, 15 October), Keeparunnin (Ashburton, 19 October) and Sacha (Wanganui, 20 October).

Sacha (Keeper ex Viva Romance, by Machiavellian) scored a narrow victory in yesterday’s $25,000 92.8 More FM Hospice Cup (2040m) at Wanganui.  It was the mare’s 11th victory for trainer Lisa Latta.

Sacha is one of Keeper’s 23 individual black type winners, having taken the Listed Tauranga Classic at Gate Pa in 2010.
