Kind Words added performance to her pedigree when the daughter of Written Tycoon broke her maiden at Hawkesbury.

She was sent out a short-priced favourite and the Kris Lees-trained graduate of the farm made short work of her opposition over 1400 metres in the hands of Josh Parr.

They kept the leaders within their sights and proved far superior in the run home to cruise home at just her fifth appearance.

We bred Kind Words and she was knocked down to respected agent Bruce Perry on behalf of prominent owner Lib Petagna for A$280,000 at last year’s Inglis Easter Yearling Sale.

She is a daughter of the Redoute’s Choice mare Gracious Grey, whose only other runner is Spirit Of Boom filly Grace ‘N’ Grey, a two-time winner.

Gracious Grey is a half-sister to the G2 Emancipation Stakes and G3 Nivison Stakes winner Positive Peace and has an unraced juvenile Pierro colt named Grey Area and a yearling filly by Almanzor.
