Kodiac sons firing at stud

Kodiac sons firing at stud29 Jun 2021

Hello Youmzain's sire Kodiac has made a quick start as a sire of sires and his reputation has been further enhanced by first season sire Ardad.

Ardad, a Group 2 winning juvenile on the track, has made a flying start at stud with 13 winners from 30 runners including a Group winner at Royal Ascot.

The Gr.2 Norfolk Stakes at the Royal Ascot was taken out by Ardad's son Perfect Power with fellow Kodiac sire Kodi Bear providing the second place finisher Go Bears Go.

Go Bears Go franked the form just nine days later when he took out the Gr.2 Railway Stakes at the Curragh. The two-year-old colt credited his sire Kodi Bear with his fifth stakes winner from just 82 runners across his first two crops.

To date Kodiac has four sons at stud with runners that have sired a stakes winning two-year-old from their first crop. Encouragingly for Hello Youmzain, he is Kodiac's best credentialed son to retire to stud yet.
