When Titanium (Tavistock ex Zanetta, by Centaine) won yesterday's S$300,000 Stewards Cup-Sgp-2 (1400m) at Kranji in Singapore, he became the 8th individual black type winner for his sire.

A member of Tavistock's first crop, Titanium has been on the sire's black type performer list for a while having been placed second in February last year in the Three Rings Trophy-Sgp-3 (1400m).

Last month the four-year-old was second in the Moonbeam Vase-Sgp-3 (1800m).

Formerly with Michael Freedman and now with young trainer James Peters, Titanium has now won 6 of his 16 starts and A$454,488 in prize money.

Bred by Sir Patrick and Justine, Lady Hogan, Titanium was born and raised at Cambridge Stud before being sold at the 2013 New Zealand Bloodstock Karaka Select Sale.

He was a bargain buy - $10,000 to the bid of Patella Bloodstock, Singapore.
