Burgundy filly Dijon Bleu has earned a week off following her early season black type heroics.
The daughter of boom Cambridge Stud stallion Burgundy was a runaway winner of the Listed O’Leary’s Fillies’ Classic (1200m) at Wanganui before another dominant display to claim the Gr.3 Hawke’s Bay Breeders’ Gold Trail Stakes (1200m) at Hastings.
“She’s quite a slight filly, but she’s got a motor,” Latta said.
“She’s having a week in the paddock and then we might look at taking her to Ellerslie.”
Latta has her eye on the Listed Soliloquy Stakes (1400m) on October 28 ahead of the Gr.1 gavelhouse.com New Zealand 1000 Guineas (1600m) at Riccarton.
