Saturday’s Macau Sprint Trophy (Gr.3, Internationally Listed) winner Luck of Smiling is from the Zabeel mare Sunshine Gold.
Luck of Smiling (by Elusive City) won the M$600,000 event by a wide margin and took his record to an impressive 8 wins and 6 placings from just 15 lifetime starts to date.
Don and Wendy Pye bred Luck of Smiling and the four-year-old was sold by Haunui Farm for $40,000 at the 2009 New Zealand Bloodstock Karaka Festival Sale.
This is a family which the Fell Family of Palmerston North has had success with.
Luck of Smiling’s second dam, Talent Scout is a half-sister to Miltak.
She won 8 races including the Auckland Cup-Gr.1, STC BMW Stakes-Gr.1 and New Zealand Oaks-Gr.1.
