Super Sire Zabeel (Sir Tristram ex Lady Giselle, by Nureyev) chalked up yet another major milestone today when he sired his 1000th individual winner.
The result came in the first race at Stratford (NZ) today when Lovin Connection (Zabeel ex Rapida, by Senor Pete) took out a 2000 metres maiden event.
Zabeel has been sitting on 999 individual winners for the last couple of weeks and it was a case of when, not if, the 1000th mark would be met.
This remarkable achievement comes hard off the back of Zabeel being confirmed as the Champion Broodmare Sire in both Australia and New Zealand for the second season straight.
Zabeel heads the Cambridge Stud stallion roster once again for the 2013 Season, standing at a fee of $100,000 + gst (LFG). Zabeel will parade at Cambridge Stud this Sunday, 11 August at 1.30pm and the public is invited to attend.
