Mark This Name Down: ZABEELIONAIRE

It’s not unusual for the progeny of Super Sire Zabeel to show up in Australian city racing and yet another emerged last Saturday at Moonee Valley by the name of Zabeelionaire.

The three-year-old raced in a rearward position around the tight-and-turning track before storming home for second in the hands of Stephen Baster.

It was only the second outing for Zabeelionaire who is from the Group Two and Listed Race-placed Carnegie mare Kisumu.  Trainer Leon Corstens thought enough of him to choose a Listed Race for his debut three weeks ago.  Zabeelionaire never saw daylight in that outing and was considered by many as unlucky.

Zabeelionaire was bred by Wyadup Valley Farm and certainly looks a 3YO to following during the Melbourne Spring Carnival.
