Meghan shines over ground

Meghan shines over ground6 Jan 2020

The lightly-tried Meghan has showed her future is in a staying role after success this afternoon at Matamata.
In her first appearance beyond a mile, the So You Think three-year-old shed her novice tag for trainer Lance Noble.
The Cambridge Stud-bred and owned filly relished the 2000 metres to open her account under rider Leith Innes.
A placegetter on three previous occasions from limited starts, Meghan is the fifth winner for Sussex Dancer.
The imported Danehill Dancer mare is a sister to the Gr.3 Cork Noblesse Stakes winner and Gr.1 Irish Oaks runner-up Ice Queen.
They come from a strong international family that includes the successful Group One-producing stallion Last Tycoon.
