More Black Type For Millbank

30 Oct 2008

The smart Keeper three-year-old gelding,
Millbank, has added further black type to his record with a fine third placing in the Group 3 Carbine Club Stakes at Flemington on Saturday.

At his previous start Millbank had scored an outstanding win in the Group 3 Wonderful World Stakes at Moonee Valley.

Millbank was well placed throughout and looked a winning chance at the 200m mark. However, he was run down short of the line by Dr Doubte's and Lucky Thunder.

Keeper has sired 87 individual winners to date in his stud career and this tally includes seven individual stakes winners.

The latest winner posted by Keeper was at the Matamata meeting on Friday where the Andrew Scott-trained
Tanalised (ex Athenri) scored by one-and-three quarter lengths in the Sound 1600 Maiden.

Tanalised was a hot favourite for the event paying only $1.40 to win. He was ridden by Michael Coleman.
