28 Oct 2014

Margin Trader became the latest first-crop winner for his in-demand sire Tavistock when winning on debut today at Bendigo.

Trained by Mike Moroney, Margin Trader (Tavistock ex Power and Might, by Zabeel) had been given three educational trials in New Zealand at two years before being sent across the Tasman to commence his racing career.

Bred by Sir Patrick and Justine, Lady Hogan, Margin Trader was selected by Paul Moroney from the consignment of Cambridge Stud at New Zealand Bloodstock's 2013 Karaka Premier Sale.

Margin Trader is the fifth runner for Tavistock in Australia.  His other runners include Diamond Valores and Imperial Lass, both of which have been successful and stakes-placed this season at three years.
