Juvenile filly Around Midnight is Almanzor’s latest stakes winner following her success in the Listed Criterium de l’Quest at Craon in France.

Trained by Jean-Claude Rouget, she took her record to two wins from three appearances when she claimed top honours in the 1650 metre contest.

Around Midnight is the fourth stakes-winner for our shuttle stallion Almanzor and is his third in the Northern Hemisphere.

She is the second winner from Artifix, a half-sister by Lawman to Group 2 placegetter Fuse from the family of Group I winner Falco.

Almanzor has made a strong start to the season with his second northern hemisphere crop which includes six winners from 15 starters. Around Midnight's stakes win follows hot on the heels of impressive maiden wins in England last week of Castle Way and Circle of Fire who are owned by Godolphin and the Queen respectively.
