Newmarket winner for Power

Cambridge Stud's Oasis Dream shuttler Power sired a winner at Newmarket in England on Saturday.  Pleaseletmewin (Power ex Jacaranda Ridge, by Indian Ridge) won over 7 furlongs in the hands of Ryan Moore.  It was his second win from four starts.  Power also has a new Stakes Performer in La Force (Power ex La Miraculeuse, by Samum) who was placed in a Listed Race in Milan recently.  Power is currently Ireland's Leading First Season Sire.

It's been a big few days for Tavistock.  His world-class son Werther has been named 2016 Hong Kong Horse of the Year following his victories in the Audemars Piguet Queen Elizabeth II Cup-Gr.1 and the BMW Hong Kong Derby-HK-1.  To top matters off in Hong Kong, Tavistock is the Champion Sire for 2015/2016, a result which has come about with just 4 runners!

Tavistock also had two winners in Singapore over the weekend and both were bred by Sir Patrick and Justine, Lady Hogan.  Infantry (Tavistock ex The Nightingale, by Stravinsky) won at Kranji on Friday night - it was his fourth win and they have all been recorded during 2016.  Magstock (Tavistock ex Magravine, by Last Tycoon) was successful yesterday on Derby Day at Kranji.  It was his second win from ten starts.

Another very satifying win for Cambridge Stud and its' staff over the weekend came when Da Qian Shi Jie (Keeper ex Pearla, by Blues Traveller) won the inaugural running of the New Zealand Bloodstock Cup (1800m) at Korchin in Inner Mongolia yesterday.  The horse was bred by long-time Cambridge Stud employee Margaret Fife and conjunction with her partner Don Edwards.
