5 Nov 2019The aptly named Tavistock 3YO November Dreaming duly delivered for the successful 2019 Melbourne Cup trainer Danny O’Brien at Kyneton today.
Bred by Gene Tsoi and sold by Bhima Thoroughbred at the 2018 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale, where purchased by her trainer for $130,000, November Dreaming started as the odds on favourite having earlier placed second in both of her previous starts.
She made the 1450m Maiden event her own under pilot Linda Meech, heading straight to the front and holding rivals off by 2.5 lengths at the line for owners Danny O'Brien, Mrs J O'Brien, Balmerino Racing Partnership, Mr P J Prendergast, Mr C D Mathieson, Mr J Kanga and Mrs S Kanga.
November Dreaming is one of two named foals for the Zabeel mare Wanaka Dream, who produced a filly by Mikki Isle in 2019.
Wanaka Dream is a sister to the Australian Gr.3 winner Tavarnelle and hails from the family of Singapore Horse of the Year, Zirna.
