Well-related Tavistock mare Our Tristabelle proved a cut above her Rating 75 rivals over 1600 metres at Tauranga for the third win of her nine-start career.
Trained by Peter and Dawn Williams, the four-year-old was ridden confidently by Warren Kennedy to deliver in style.
Our Tristabelle drifted back in the field and was last with 500 metres to run before picking up ground.
The grey was in contention at the top of the straight and with a minimum of urging she lengthened stride to win with plenty in hand.
Our Tristabelle is raced by Ashley Collins' Platinum Thoroughbreds, who purchased her from our draft as a yearling for $45,000.
Her dam Keep Alight has a 100 per cent record at stud with all eight of the Keeper mare’s foals to race successful and includes stakes winner She's Alight and Listed performer Midnitemagicman-Little Island (HK).
Out of the G1 Australasian and South Australian Oaks winner Our Tristalight, Keep Alight foaled a filly by Embellish last season before she paid a return visit to our Group 1 winning-son of Savabeel.
