Outstanding Japanese debut from Tavistock colt

Tavistock has broken new ground with the Cambridge Stud stallion enjoying success in Japan.
His two-year-old son En recently made his first appearance at Kawasaki and produced a commanding performance.
The colt made all the running over 1400 metres at the first time of asking and coasted home to distance his rivals.
En is raced by Big Red Farm, who purchased the colt out of Curraghmore’s draft at Karaka for $120,000.
Interestingly, En holds a nomination for the Gr.1 English Derby.
En is out of the Northern Meteor mare Tempting Delight, a half-sister to the Group Two winner Champagne Harmony.
It is the family of the multiple Group One winner and NZ Horse of the Year Bonneval.
The top-flight winners St Reims and Champagne also appear on the pedigree page.
Big Red Farm also bought Goodwood Stud’s Tavistock colt earlier this year for $280,000.
He is out of the Stravinsky mare Red Melody and the family of stakes winner and Gr.1 Golden Slipper Stakes placegetter Lake Geneva.
