Cambridge Stud proprietors Brendan and Jo Lindsay have been honoured at the New Zealand Thoroughbred Awards.

The couple were named Owners of the Year at Sunday evening’s virtual event in addition to winning the Owner's Premiership.

Their racing team was headlined by the star performer Probabeel.

Last season, the Jamie Richards trained filly became the first horse in history to win the 2 and 3-year-old editions of the Karaka Million.

Probabeel subsequently triumphed in the G1 Surround Stakes and finished runner-up in the Vinery Stud Stakes.

She has added the G1 Epsom Handicap to her record this season ahead of a tilt at the G1 Cox Plate.

Vernazza also carried the Cambridge Stud silks with distinction last season, winning the G2 Matamata Breeders’ Stakes for trainer Lance Noble.

Bavella, Not An Option, Pretty To Sea, Manchu and Familia were also Group performers from the Lindsay racing team.
